The veteran journalist and TV star Larry King is recovering from surgery:

Veteran CNN talk show host Larry King had surgery on Friday to clear an artery blockage but plans to return to work on Monday to interview U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama, the network said.

King, 73, emerged from the scheduled operation without any complications and was alert and talking to his staff by the afternoon, CNN spokeswoman Bridget Leininger said.

"He was actually already giving orders to us for Monday," she said.

The operation, called a carotid endarterectomy, removes plaque that can build up in a patient's carotid artery, a blood vessel that supplies the neck and head.

The procedure was performed on King at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Leininger said.

"Larry is doing great and he is excited to be back on the air Monday night with an interview with Sen. Barack Obama as we mark the fourth anniversary of the Iraq war," CNN said in a statement.

Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are said to be in a rush to get married.

Kate Moss and Pete Doherty have revealed they want to tie the knot as soon as legally possible.

Supermodel Kate said after last week's NME Awards (March 1), "I just want to be with my boyfriend. He's wild, crazy, but he's cool."

And Pete added, "We want a special wedding and we want to don't want to do it here, there's too much sh*t here. Somewhere small and out of the way would be cool. We can't wait, it will be beautiful."

Meanwhile, Kate said the pair's life is not as crazy as it's painted in the tabloids, and that once hitched they'll live a life of domestic bliss.

Talking to the News Of The World, she said, "I can't understand all in the interest in us any more. I'd rather be at home with him. We don't go out much."

The pair have even decided on a best man. Pete's old Libertines band mate Carl Barat has revealed he's the lucky bloke.

Anna Nicole Smith may have finally been buried on Friday afternoon, over three weeks after the TrimSpa model and Playboy Playmate died at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, but not only is her story far from over with paternity battles yet to be determined, but the resting place of the larger-than-life figure has become the number one tourist hotspot in the Bahamas.

The New York Daily News spoke to a cab driver who tells them that the tourists who get off cruise ships in the Bahamas don't want the local flavor as much as they want to see the grave of Anna Nicole Smith - "Everybody wants to see this. People are getting off the cruise ships, and this is where they want to come. The tourism board...can't buy the kind of exposure they had here the last few weeks."

TMZ reports that it's not just cruise ship riders with good timing, but that some people have already booked tours to the Bahamas just to visit the grave of Anna Nicole Smith. They note that on Saturday, Larry Birkhead - the former lover of Anna Nicole and the alleged father of Dannielynn, her five month-old daughter - was at the Bahamas airport waiting for a ride back home and even posed for a few pictures with tourists.

Now all we have to look forward to is the unedifying fight over who gets the kid's money: that's why so many men are claiming to be its father.

Somehow you just knew that this Britney Spears story would bring a comment from Simon Cowell. He also manages to have a go at Robbie Williams in the process:

The AMERICAN IDOL judge recently visited an impoverished nation and after witnessing the horrific conditions people were forced to live in, he believes Spears and Williams' problems pale in comparison.
Spears is currently in Promises in Malibu, California following months of hard-drinking and partying, while Williams is seeking treatment for an addiction to painkillers at The Meadows clinic in Arizona.
Cowell says, "This whole thing is a total indulgence. Britney and Robbie need to get a grip.
"I don't know what's going on in Britney's head but my attitude is I couldn't care less. She should go back and live with her mum for six months.

Britney Spears Suicide Story

The Britney Spears suicide story is all over the papers today, right around the world. There are some though who don't actually believe it:

Either it's Britney Spears who allegedly tried to hang herself after writing 666 on her forehead and running through the halls of Promises rehab in Malibu, or it's the news agency who is spreading these rumors.

Personally we don't believe the story because Britney's "friend" reportedly says that the rehab center doesn't know what to do with the allegedly wild pop princess, which is unreal because we doubt any rehab institution worth its thousands of dollars a week wouldn't know how to handle freaked out celebs.

But it's a slow news day and it's always fun to Photoshop people's heads into Eddie from Iron Maiden's body, plus if it's true you'd be mad at us for not telling you - as you should be.

The ordeal began when she terrified staff by writing the number of the beast on her head and running around the clinic screaming, "I am the anti-christ!"

"The clinic people just didn't know what to do," a friend claimed.
